It's always fun when a group of us get together as we did here on September 10, 2019. Even though many of us haven't seen each other for years, we find we have much in common and plenty to talk about.

We had a wonderful turnout at our Holiday dinner on December 27. Our class sponsor Dave Hays attended as well as 14 classmates and various spouses. It was a lively group who shared memories from our school days and pop culture.

Glen Farley led us in playing a class Jeopardy game based on trivia from those days. Here are a few sample questions from
the 25 he posed to us:

1. This number one song of 1971 is something we might all wish for during the Christmas season.
2. In 1968 a gallon of this sold for an average price of $1.18.
3. This was our choir director's summer job, which also involved music, but definitely not singing.
4. This was the number 1 hit song in 1969...sweet!
5. In 1968 this was sold for $1 million, dismantled then re-assembled later in Arizona.
6. Rumor had it that the lead actor of this 1971 Best Picture winner was tanked almost every day on the set.
7. This 1971 grad shared his nickname with a famous motion picture boxer.
8. In 1969, this had many class males anxious about their futures.

Check back here for information regarding our next get-together, which will hopefully be in the spring. Happy New Year!

answers: 1. What is "Joy to the World?   2. What is milk?  3. What is driving an ice cream truck?  4. What is "Sugar Sugar"?
5. What is the London Bridge?  6. What is Patton?  7. Who is Rocky (Ira) Bradford?  8. What is the draft?

*Join us for a class Christmas dinner at Eat 'N Park in Moon on Thursday, December 27, in the back room at 6:00 pm. We are hoping to see our class sponsor Dave and Judy Hays there. We last saw them at our 60th birthday party. Looking forward to seeing all of you there. You can rsvp (just for a headcount) at moonalumni1971@icloud.com or check in on our class facebook page  -  https://www.facebook.com/groups/186153781455040/ page.

*Classmate Karl Cook had a get-together for our classmates. It was Saturday, October 6, 2018 and it started around 2. Classmates brought a side dish and their own adult beverages. It was good to see some
new faces that haven't attended our get-togethers in the past. Thank you to Karl and Susan for hosting us and for the delicious food you provided for us!

*Here was the latest announcement for a get-together in December. Everyone was invited for a Christmas gathering on Tuesday, December 19th at Eat'n Park in Moon. Check our class Facebook page for updates, https://www.facebook.com/groups/186153781455040/, or to leave a comment.

*From Glen Farley "Would like to get together with my class mates at my house this fall before the weather gets too cold. The best date for me appears to be Saturday, October 7th. Thought we could relax during the afternoon with some adult beverages/snacks, then have some pizza for dinner. If it's a nice evening and you'd like to stay a bit later, I can light up the chiminea for a little atmosphere. Please let me know if you can make it, and if anyone knows a classmate who is not on Facebook, please extend the invitation. Look forward to seeing you all that day."

We had a small group that gathered for the afternoon and we enjoyed each other's company and reminiscing about the good old days.

*We have 53 missing classmates, so please check out the Missing Classmates tab, and let us know if you can help. Unfortunately we are adding more names to the list such as Al Grice, Debra Ritchey and Roger Ross. If anyone can help locate them, please let us know.

*Good news, though, we are in contact with Ed Keim, Janet Holpher Rimby, Deborah Iacobucci, Ken Riley, David Greenawalt, Billy Breedlove, Bud Mixter, Steve Snyder, Bob Steiner, Ron Miller and Michele Bukoskey!

*We got together for a collective 60th (+ or -) birthday party on the 29th of June, 2014. Those of us who have been getting together for the last few reunions welcomed classmates we haven't seen in years! The party was very casual, and the cost was $20.00 per person.

*Twelve of us recently got together for a casual evening at the Moon Township Municipal Building (across the street from Dale Derber's farm), for the fish fry, then we gathered afterwards at the Sea Shell Lounge, Yes, it is still there!

*Sadly, we can remove Terry Shannon from our Missing Classmates list. Terry passed away in 2012. Here is a link to his obituary - http://www.tributes.com/obituary/show/Terry-Jay-Shannon-93055829.

*We want to let you know Jim Smith, Smitty, from our class passed away. We knew he had been struggling for sometime now. Prayers to his family./obituarieswww.tatalovichfuneralhome.com/obituaries/James-Samuel-Smith-Jr?obId=2749248#/obituaryInfo

*Another sad posting is the passing of classmate Deborah Logan Smith this past summer in July. No information is available on her obituary.

*Sadly we post the passing of classmate Janet Hugnagle Falk. Condolences to her family. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/postgazette/obituary.aspx?n=janet-lee-falk&pid=187034136&fhid=9736.
